New release of the "Statistical Observations of Prefectures 2025"
The "Statistical Observations of Prefectures" presents major data by prefectures which were selected from the social indicators in the System of Social and Demographic Statistics (SSDS), and recompiles such information to allow that indicators be observed by prefectures at a glance. It includes 408 social indicators.
This report is published annually in February, and the latest version is accessible at the following website.

The 2nd UK Statistical Delegation to Japan (March 2025)
The 2nd Statistical Delegation from the United Kingdom, headed by Ms. Lucinda Eggleton, Director for Health and International of the Office for National Statistic (ONS), visited Japan from March 17 to 19, 2025.
Following an exchange of greetings with the senior officials of the SBJ, they discussed several topics with the SBJ officials on "Recruitment, allocation, and capacity development of statistical personnel" and "Population Census" etc. Furthermore, the delegation discussed concerning "The System of National Accounts (SNA)" with officials from the Cabinet Office.
