The 2nd UK Statistical Delegation to Japan (March 2025)
The 2nd Statistical Delegation from the United Kingdom, headed by Ms. Lucinda Eggleton, Director for Health and International of the Office for National Statistic (ONS), visited Japan from March 17 to 19, 2025.
Following an exchange of greetings with the senior officials of the SBJ, they discussed several topics with the SBJ officials on "Recruitment, allocation, and capacity development of statistical personnel" and "Population Census" etc. Furthermore, the delegation discussed concerning "The System of National Accounts (SNA)" with officials from the Cabinet Office.
The visit is based on the Memorandum of Cooperation (MOC) between the United Kingdom Statistics Authority (UKSA) and SBJ, which was signed on May 17, 2023, to establish the basis for in depth cooperation between both sides in the area of official statistics.
