| The IAOS Satellite Meeting on Statistics for the Information Society organized in conjunction with the 53rd Session of ISI (August 22-29, 2001, Seoul, Korea) was held on August 30 (Thursday) and 31(Friday), 2001 in Tokyo, Japan. It was hosted by the Statistics Bureau and Statistics Center of Japan under the auspices of the International Association for Official Statistics (IAOS) in cooperation with the Japan Statistical Society (JSS), the Japan Statistical Association (JSTAT), the Statistical Information Institute for Consulting and Analysis (SINFONICA) and the Institute of Statistical Research. This Meeting was intended as an international forum for statisticians to exchange their studies and researches, both theoretical and empirical, on a wide range of topics related to the information society. |
