45th International Association for Time Use Research Conference

  From November 27 to 30, 2023, the SBJ co-hosted the 45th International Association for Time Use Research Conference in Tokyo, Japan, with the International Association for Time Use Research (IATUR). As a representative of the host country, Mr. HASEGAWA Junji, Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Internal Affairs and Communications of Japan, made the opening remarks at the opening session of the conference.
  The SBJ gave a workshop on the introduction to Portal Site of Official Statistics (e-Stat) and the overview of the 2021 Survey on Time Use and Leisure Activities, as well as three presentations at the sessions during the conference.

  The IATUR has arisen in 1970 and includes members at all stages of their careers from academics, national statistical offices and other government agencies, international organizations, businesses and media. Association members work in over 40 countries.
