RegARIMA models have been updated when revising seasonally adjusted data retroactively on the release of January 2022 results.

Using the latest results of the Population Census as the base, the benchmark population for calculating the results of the Labour Force Survey is revised every five years.
The revision to 2020 Census-based population estimates was held in January 2022 for Basic Tabulation, and in Jan.-Mar. 2022 for Detailed Tabulation.

- "2017 revision of benchmark population"
Using the latest results of the Population Census as the base, the benchmark population for calculating the results of the Labour Force Survey is revised every five years.
The revision to 2015 Census-based population estimates was held in January 2017 for Basic Tabulation, and in Jan.-Mar. 2017 for Detailed Tabulation.

- The results of April 2014 and May 2014 have been corrected because the Population Estimates were corrected.

RegARIMA models have been updated when revising seasonally adjusted data retroactively on the release of January 2014 results. Fifteen of seasonally adjusted series by industry will be discontinued on the release of April 2014 results, because no substantial seasonality was observed over the past decade except two retained series: "Agriculture and forestry" and "Non-agricultural industries".

"Historical data 1" has been renewed on the release of January 2014 by putting major series together into one Excel book and adding three new original (non-seasonally adjusted) series: "Population aged 15 years old and over", "Not in labour force", and "Employment rate" by age group. Please be aware that the filenames of all the Excel books in "Historical data 1" have been altered.

X-12-regARIMA was introduced to 18 series since result of January 2013. As in the past, X-11(default) has continued to be applied to series which are not mentioned.

The Statistics Bureau of Japan revises the Labour Force Survey by introducing new questionnaires and enhancing current tables from January 2013 in order to accurately grasp the employment/unemployment situation.

Using the latest results of the Population Census as the base, the benchmark population for calculating the results of the Labour Force Survey are revised every five years.
It has been revised to the 2010 Census-based population estimates in January 2012 for Basic Tabulation, and in Jan.-Mar. 2012 for Detailed Tabulation.
(Retroactive adjustment data, ---calculated by applying 2010 census base benchmark population instead of previously released 2005-base---, are used for calculating "Change from the year" during 2012(excluding rate). )

We released the results for whole Japan not including three prefectures (Iwate, Miyagi and Fukushima) due to the damage caused by the Great East Japan Earthquake from the results for March to August 2011, however, the results for whole Japan including three prefectures (Iwate, Miyagi and Fukushima) are available from the results for September 2011.

Results from December 2010 through February 2011(monthly), Oct.-Dec.2010(quarterly average), 2010(yearly average) were recalculated, because some inappropriate questionnaires, which should be eliminated, had been included.
"Errata on Labour Force Survey" have been updated.
