The first publication of the Monthly Business Survey of Services results

  The Monthly Business Survey of Services was established in January 2025 as the new Fundamental Statistical Survey through the integration of the existing statistical surveys. It aims to create statistics that clarify the dynamics of business activities in the service industries in Japan.
  The first published results of the January 2025 Monthly Business Survey of Services (Preliminary) were released on March 26, 2025.

- Monthly sales of service industry of January was 33.4 trillion yen, up 5.6% from the previous year. It has increased for 39 consecutive months.
  * The figures of the Monthly Survey on Service Industries are used to calculate year-over-year comparisons.
