Participants of the "Mr. ISHIBASHI Nobuo Memorial International Exchange Program" by SINFONICA visited the SBJ
From August 28 to September 4, fifteen participants from Asian countries of the "Mr. ISHIBASHI Nobuo Memorial International Exchange Program" by the Statistical Information Institute for Consulting and Analysis (SINFONICA) visited the SBJ as part of the training program. They received lectures on the "Population Census," "Labour Force Survey," "Family Income and Expenditure Survey," "Portal Site of Official Statistics (e-Stat) and Statistical GIS " and several other topics.

The 29th Japanese Statistical Mission to Korea
The 29th Japanese Statistical Mission to Korea headed by Mr. NAGASHIMA Katsutoshi, Director-General, Statistical Survey Department, SBJ, visited Korea from 2 to 6 September 2024.
They had discussions with the staff of Statistics Korea (KOSTAT) concerning the present situation of Economic Census, utilization of big data from private and public sectors, efforts to improve response rates for statistical survey and auto-coding.
In addition, the mission visited Dongbuk Regional Office of Statistics, and exchanged information about statistical works in local area.

The 6th Vietnam Statistical Delegation to Japan
The 6th Statistical Delegation from Vietnam, headed by Dr. Nguyen Thi Huong, Director-General, General Statistics Office of Vietnam (GSO), visited Japan from September 9 to 13, 2024.
Following an exchange of greetings with the senior officials of the SBJ, they discussed several topics with the SBJ staff on "Statistical organization and system," "Office administration and management," and "Statistics training for general through the internet" etc.
The delegation visited Statistical Research and Training Institute (SRTI) and discussed concerning "Outline of statistics training." Furthermore, they visited Gunma Prefectural Government and deepened their understanding on the statistical activities of local governments.
