Statistics Bureau Image Design

Statistics Bureau
Reliable Statistics

Concept

This design reflects the philosophy of the Statistics Bureau: "Contributing to the improvement of the lives of Japanese citizens and the development of society and the economy through statistics." Since there are many opportunities to share statistical data internationally, the design also emphasizes Japanese identity.

About the Image Design

Line and bar graphs symbolize that Japan is supported by statistics and that these statistics contribute to developing the lives of its citizens. The upward trend of the graphs represents growth, while the simple and stable Gothic-style font conveys the strength of the Statistics Bureau.

About the Symbol Color

Blue was chosen as the symbol color to convey a sense of seriousness and sincerity, reinforcing the reliability and trust of statistics. Variations in shade add depth to the design and express the diversity in how survey results are widely utilized.
