5 Difference of prices by ratio of part-time workers and "arubaito" (temporary workers)
5-1 Number of outlets by ratio of part-time workers and "arubaito" (temporary workers)
- Outlets for which the ratio of part-time workers and "arubaito" (temporary workers) is less than 10% are in the majority.
- In outlets except general retail outlets, the ratio of part-time workers and "arubaito" (temporary workers) is high.
(1) Looking at the rate of surveyed outlets by ratio of part-time workers and "arubaito" (temporary workers), the group of ?less than 10%? is the highest at 56.5%. Compared to the previous survey, the rate is almost the same.
(2) Looking at the ratio of part-time workers and "arubaito" (temporary workers) by type of outlet, in the category of ?general retail outlet?, the ratio of ?less than 10%? is the highest at 62.8%. On the other hand, concerning ?supermarket?, ?volume sales specialty store? and ?drug store?, the ratio of ?50% to less than 70%? is the highest at 33.2%, 32.6% and 32.6% respectively, and for ?convenience store? and ?cooperative store?, that of ?70% or more? is the highest at 51.2% and 53.7% respectively.
5-2 Difference of price by ratio of part-time workers and "arubaito" (temporary workers)
- At outlets for which the ratio of part-time workers and "arubaito" (temporary workers) is high, some clothing items and food stuffs are low-priced.
Concerning the common 100 items, by comparison of average prices between outlets for which the ratio of part-time workers and "arubaito" (temporary workers) is ?70% or more? and those for which the ratio is ?less than 10%?, at the former outlets some clothing items are over 20% lower-priced than average prices, and some food stuffs are over 10% lower-priced than the average. This tendency is the same as that of large-scale outlets, but at small-scale outlets the items over 20% lower-priced are limited.
