1. Characteristics of General eating and drinking places

Income per establishment for "Hamburger shop" is above 100 million yen

  The category "General eating and drinking places" has the highest number of establishments in service industry, and looking at its minor industry groups, "Coffee shops" at 19.9% is the highest, followed by 17.8% for "Eating places", and 14.5% for "Chinese restaurants", and these 3 groups account for more than 50% of "General eating and drinking places".
  In addition, with regard to income, that of "Eating places" is highest, with 17.3%, followed by 15.6% for "Japanese
restaurants", and 14.0% for "Chinese restaurants".

  With regard to income per establishment, 100,410 thousand yen for "Hamburger shops" is highest, followed by 57,430 thousand yen for "Western restaurants", 54,360 thousand yen for "General eating and drinking places, n.e.c." such as fried chicken shops, 54,310 thousand yen for "Japanese restaurants", 48,500 thousand yen for "Barbecue restaurants, only oriental restaurants", 41,590 thousand yen for ""Sushi" bars", and 40,800 thousand yen for "Other eating places and restaurants" such as Korean restaurants. These surpass the 34,860 thousand yen average for "General eating and drinking places".
  In particular, the income of "Hamburger shops" accounts for 3.5% of "General eating and drinking places" despite the number of "Hamburger shops" establishments accounting for only 1.2% of "General eating and drinking places". In addition , looking at "Hamburger shops" by type of legal organization, "Companies" accounts for very large percentage (95.8%).
