More than a tenth of establishments in the service industry are located in Tokyo, and about a quarter are placed in the top 3 prefectures
Looking at the number of establishments in the service industry (2,126 thousand) by prefecture, Tokyo has 259 thousand (12.2% of all establishments), followed by Osaka with 160 thousand (7.5%), Aichi with 122 thousand (5.7%). The top 3 prefectures account for about a fourth (25.4%) of all establishments, while the top 9 prefectures account for 50.7%.
