Household Survey on Land Household Survey on Land has been conducted by the Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism with an aim to obtain basic national and regional data for policy measures on land by clarifying the ownership and use of land by households. This survey was derived from the results of the 2018 Housing and Land Survey. basic materials for appropriately facilitating effective use of the land by clarifying the ownership and use of land and Buildings in the country and by region. The 2018 survey covered corporations (excluding those owned by the central or local governments) having their head office in Japan. The coverage of the survey was 490 thousand corporations including all the companies with a capital of 100 million yen or more and companies with a capital less than 100 million yen and other legal persons selected by the method stipulated by the Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism.
