2 Working hours

"Workers in transport and communications occupations" have the longest working hours at 49.1 hours.

- The average weekly hours of work of employed persons 15 years of age and over work 42.4 hours per week. Broken down by occupational major group, the longest hours are worked by "workers in transport and communications occupations" at 49.1 hours, followed by "sales workers" at 45.4 hours, "protective service workers" at 45.3 hours, and "managers and officials" at 45.2 hours.

- In a breakdown of the average weekly hours of work by sex and occupational major group, "sales workers" work the longest hours amongmales (49.7 hours), while among females it is "protective service workers" who work the longest at 39.9 hours.
