II-6 The classified year of establishment of enterprises

The number of enterprises which had run 100 years and over after their establishment was around 300.

The number of enterprises, which was classified in a five-year-unit of the year after establishment, was the largest at the classified year of "10-14" years (Enterprises were established in Oct.1986-Sep.1991), or 276,000, followed by "5-9" years, or 196,000, "15-19" years, or 169,000, and "20-24" years, or 162,000.

The number of enterprises which had run 75 years and over was 6,000, in which there were 300 enterprises that had run 100 years and over. The rate of establishment of enterprises was the highest for the period of bubble economy.

Note: The years after establishment of enterprises, which were based on the results of classified years of establishment of enterprises(excluding not reported), were calculated the years after their establishment as of Oct.1,2001. Furthermore, the numbers of enterprises, which were reported the year of establishment but not reported a quarter of the year, were divided into quarters,and added to each quarter of the year concerned.
