II-2 By Industrial Classification for Enterprises
The number of enterprises in "Manufacturing" decreased 10 percent and over
"Wholesale and Retail Trade, Eating and Drinking Places" accounted for 35.2% of total number of enterprises and the sum of the percentage of "Wholesale and Retail Trade, Eating and Drinking Places" , " Construction" , "Manufacturing" and "Services" came to around 90% of the total.
There was a big decrease in the number of enterprises in "Manufacturing" and "Wholesale and Retail Trade, Eating and Drinking Places" compared with that of 1996 survey, and the number of "Manufacturing" was smaller than that of "Construction" .
