Annual Report on National Health Insurance This report is published every year by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare to grasp the status of national health insurance programs (number of subscribers, medical expenses, balance of payments, status of insurance premiums (taxes), etc.) and to provide basic data for the sound management of the national health insurance system. Annual Report on Employees' Pension Insurance and National Pension This report is published annually by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare to grasp the status of employees pension insurance and national pension programs and to be used as basic data for the proper management of the employees pension insurance and national pension system. Financial Status of Employees Pension Fund The Financial Status of the Employees Pension Fund is published every year by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare as basic data for grasping the financial management conditions of the Employees Pension Fund (application, benefits, reserves, etc.) and for its appropriate management. Based on financial statements submitted by the Employees Pension Fund, the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare compiles the status of application, benefits and reserves for each fiscal year. Statistics on Farmers' Pension Fund Statistics on the Farmers' Pension Fund are summarized according to a new system and an old system. The statistics are published annually by the Farmers' Pension Fund. Annual Business Report of Employment Insurance This report is published annually by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare to grasp the status of application and benefits of employment insurance for appropriate management of the employment insurance system and to be used as basic data for employment measures, etc. Report on Long-Term Care Insurance for Elderly The purpose of Report on Long-Term Care Insurance for Elderly is to grasp the implementation status of long-term care insurance projects along with the implementation of the long-term care insurance system and to obtain basic data for contributing to the smooth operation of the long-term care insurance system in the future. For this purpose, the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare compiles nationwide figures reported by insurers (municipalities, etc.) and publishes monthly (provisional figures) and annual reports. This chapter covers application and payment of insurance proceeds from the annual report. Annual Business Report on Workers’ Accident Compensation Insurance This report on the Industrial Accident Compensation Insurance Program is published annually by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare. This report provides a consolidated summary of the application status, collection status of insurance premiums, payment status of insurance benefits, number of pension recipients, and other data for the Industrial Accident Compensation Insurance Program. Statistics on Accident Compensation for National Public Employees These statistics are compiled by the National Personnel Authority from reports submitted by the Cabinet Office and each Ministry and are published annually for the purpose of assessing the implementation of compensation and welfare services for national public employees in regular service and providing basic data for the operation of the accident compensation system.
