The survey is conducted for the about 300 establishments which import and sell petroleum products, or for the establishments which accept directly imported crude oil or the crude oil produced in country, and that establishments belong to manufacturers of petroleum products, importer or specific petroleum dealer, or petroleum acceptance traders in the country. The results are published in the Oil Statistics Preliminary Report and the Oil Statistics Final Report (Resource and Energy Statistics Monthly Report). Current Survey of Production (Fundamental Statistical Survey) See "9 Mining and Manufacturing". Statistics based on a complete count of establishments that produce petroleum products, crude oil, natural gas and coke (including mines and mineral processing sites) are shown in this chapter. Summary of the Electric Power Industry The Summary of the Electric Power Industry is a statistical compilation of the current status and trends of Japan's electric utility industry over the years. It is compiled by the Agency for Natural Resources and Energy for the purpose of contributing to a reference for electric utility industry stakeholders. Statistics in these publications are the tabulation results from monthly reports of generation and receiving, etc. submitted regularly by electric power enterprises in accordance with the provisions of the regulations on reporting regarding electricity under the Electricity Business Act. This chapter covers power facilities and, supply and demand. Handbook of Gas Utility Industry The Handbook of Gas Utility Industry is a statistical compilation of the current status and trends of Japan's gas utility industry over the years. It is compiled by the Japan Gas Association for the purpose of contributing to a reference for gas utility industry stakeholders. Statistics in these publications are tabulated from the reports published by the Agency for Natural Resources and Energy and aggregate results of surveys conducted by The Japan Gas Association. This chapter presents statistics concerning general gas (town gas) utilities. Current Production Survey on Gas Utility Industry (Fundamental Statistical Survey) The Current Production Survey on Gas Utility Industry has been conducted by the Agency for Natural Resources and Energy as a nationwide survey of gas suppliers prescribed in Article 2, paragraph 12 of the Gas Business Act (excluding gas manufacturers prescribed in paragraph 10 of the same Article) since 1951 for the purpose of clarifying the actual state of gas production in the gas business and obtaining basic data on policies for the gas business. It is carried out every month for about 1600 enterprises. With the revision of the Gas Business Act in fiscal 1970, the simplified gas enterprises are also covered in addition to the general gas enterprises. And with the revisions of the Act in fiscal 1994 and fiscal 2004, large-scale gas providers and gas pipeline providers were respectively included. With the revision of the Gas Business Act in fiscal 2017, complete liberalization of gas retailing was implemented. This chapter lists gas production, etc. Water Supply Statistics Water Supply Statistics are compiled annually by the Japan Water Works Association. The compiled statistics consist of the "Survey on Water Supply" and the "Survey on Public Water Supply and Source Water Supply Enterprises," which are conducted annually by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare to provide basic data for water supply administration by the national and local governments. The "Survey on Water Supply" covers approved undertakings in public water supply, source water supply, small-scale water supply, and reported undertakings of exclusive water supply. The "Survey on Public Water Supply and Source Water Supply Enterprises" covers approved undertakings in public water supply and source water supply with the planned capacity for 5,001 persons or more. In both cases, annual performance in the relevant fiscal year and other items as of the end of the fiscal year are surveyed
