For the survey on price differences between regions, the number of survey items is 57 (58 specifications) and for the survey on prices by store type and specification, it is 9 (9 specifications). Bargain basement prices offered in a short period time (less than 8 days) and for an inventory-clearance sale are not collected. Land Price Survey by Prefectures This survey is conducted to provide the standard for price screening in the regulation of transaction of land, and for assessment of purchase price by the local governments, thereby forming proper land prices. Based on the Implementation Decree of the National Land Use Planning Act, the survey is conducted every year under the jurisdiction of prefectural governors and the report of the survey is released by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism. The 2020 survey covered 21,070 lots for residential area and 449 lots for forest area. The survey was suspended at 12 lots (11 lots for residential area and 1 lot for forest area due to the TEPCO's Fukushima No. 1 Nuclear Power Plant accident). Prices sought are those judged appropriate by the prefectural governors based on the prices evaluated by real estate appraisers. 20 Prices 471
