"Total disputes" is sum of the disputes accompanied by dispute acts andthe disputes unaccompanied by dispute acts but mediated by a third party such as labour relations commissions. "Employeesaffected" refer to the maximum number of employees of unions or dispute parties during the duration of the labour dispute,irrespective of being involved in dispute acts or not, and "Employees involved" refer to the number of persons actuallyengaged in dispute acts. Up to two major demands in a labour dispute are listed as the principal issues. If two principal issuesof a labour dispute fall in a single bracket of issue in this table, the dispute is counted as one case under the bracket.Unionsecurityandlabourcontract19 Labour and Wages 465
