Summary of Yearly Average Results
(1) Expenditures for Two-or-more-person Households
The yearly average of monthly consumption expenditures per household for 2008 was 296,932 yen, down 0.3% in nominal terms and down 1.9% in real terms from the previous year.
(2) Income and Expenditures for Workers' Households
The yearly average of monthly income per household stood at 534,235 yen, up 1.0% in nominal terms but down 0.6% in real terms from the previous year.
The yearly average of monthly Consumption expenditures was 324,929 yen, up 0.5% in nominal terms but down 1.1% in real terms from the previous year.
